Find Out More About Dolphins

Well  what can I tell you about dolphins? Lets see, did you know that there are 32 species of dolphins. YES 32!! Which all come from the DELPHINIDAE family, from the largest which is the Killer Whale, "killer whale" I hear you say "their not dolphins" . The killer whale belongs to the same family as the dolphins like the Bottle Nose or The common dolphin.
Dolphins emit whistles, this is how they talk to each other. Dolphins like to chat a lot so you wouldn't be able to get a word in edge ways. They also whistle to show sexual excitment,(so when you whistle again just remember that ).
Dolphins can't see very well , so they get about by also emitting clicking sounds, a kind of radar that tells them where objects are so they don't bump into them. They also use these sounds to locate schools of fish for lunch (Grubs Up).
Did you know that when dolphins eat they are very sociable mammals because when they find a school of fish they make so much noise by jumping out of the water and whistling, that all the dolphins in the area know that they are invited to dinner. There can be anything up to 1000 dolphins in some species  eating together. They eat up to one third of there body weight every day.
 (Bugger catering for that lot).
